This late 1970s to early 1980s French couture silk jersey maxi dress has a beautiful blue and red rose print design against a darker blue background. It has a high, round neckline and is cut in a simple, shift-like shape to the ankles. It has long sleeves which are fitted through the arm all the way down to the cuff, and the material has a lovely soft, slightly stretchy feel. The dress fastens down the back with the original zipper. It would be perfect dressed up with heels for a special occasion and would work equally well when worn more casually.

The dress is in excellent vintage condition with no faults or stains to note. It looks unworn and was part of a large haul of clothing we acquired from the estate of a Monaco resident and French Riviera socialite. Although this dress is unlabelled, many items were designer pieces by Givenchy and Yves Saint Laurent. This was certainly made by a top-tier atelier although not a haute couture peice. Due to the relaxed nature of the fit, it would best fit up to a size 12-14 UK, or 8-10 US.
